Leadership
About our Principal
Meridian Advisory is led by Travis Melvin, whose background spans structured finance, private equity, real estate development, and public-private investment contexts across more than 15 years and $40 billion in transaction experience.
Prior to founding Meridian, Travis held senior positions at Wells Fargo Securities in the Investment Banking division, executing structured finance and securitization transactions; Lone Star Funds and Hudson Advisors, managing a $15 billion distressed loan portfolio and contributing to the creation of the Hudson Homes REO-to-rental platform; Trammell Crow Company, supporting institutional real estate development; and Trust Neighborhoods, leading capital structure design for a $100 million mission-driven housing vehicle.
Travis holds a Master in Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a Master of Science in Management from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Perspective Across the Capital Stack
Meridian’s work reflects direct experience across structured credit and securitized markets, private equity and real estate development, bank and non-bank lending environments, and public-private and mission-oriented capital.
Structured Credit
Securitized markets, investment banking, and complex transaction structuring
Portfolio Management
Real estate development, distressed portfolios, and value creation strategies
Real Estate Development
Bank and non-bank lending environments, capital deployment analysis
Mission-Driven Capital
Public-private partnerships and impact-oriented capital structures
This cross-stack perspective enables Meridian to identify structural risk, incentive misalignment, and timing error that siloed advisors often miss.
Meridian was founded on the principle that complex decisions require independent analysis free from transaction-based incentives.
